I was introduced to music early in my life by my parents since they always thought it was a way to get my brain neurons better aligned. I studied music and piano was the initial instrument I adopted. I was pretty good at it, however, it did not ruffle any feathers. I have forever been a restless soul and my mother was always trying to find ways to channel my energies. Then one fine day, in this quest, she picked up on my habit of filling up empty moments by constantly tapping popular beats on surfaces – tables, doors and even walls. She suggested I take up drums as an instrument. This was the beginning of my journey with an instrument I have come to enjoy and love over the years. I have been attending drum lessons 90 minutes per week, for the last 8 years. I have cleared Grade 6, and I am currently practicing for my Grade 8 exam, which will help me master the instrument.
